Payments Overview

Trapyfy supports both native integrated payment infrastructure and manual offline payment methods. This guide explains how each works and how to configure them.

Payment infrastructure

Payment methods in Trapyfy can be activated or disabled, shown or hidden in POS and kiosk environments, restricted by country, and configured with per-currency minimum and maximum order values.

Niftipay is the recommended integrated payment infrastructure for automated checkout experiences. Manual methods require merchant-side payment reconciliation or collection.

Payment workflow

When a customer completes checkout:

1

Customer selects a payment method

Checkout displays the available payment options configured for that country and channel.

2

Payment is processed

Niftipay handles automated payment processing. Manual methods require customer action outside the platform.

3

Confirmation returned to Trapyfy

Order status updates based on payment result. Automated methods update immediately; manual methods require merchant confirmation.

4

Fulfillment workflow begins

Once payment is confirmed, the order moves to processing and fulfillment.

Payment confirmation

Before starting fulfillment, verify payment status in the order details. Confirm:

  • Payment status shows as confirmed
  • Transaction ID is visible
  • Order amount matches payment amount

Do not fulfill orders without payment confirmation. This reduces disputes and chargebacks.

Trapyfy and Niftipay

Trapyfy and Niftipay are connected operational platforms. Each handles specific parts of the merchant workflow.

Trapyfy manages

  • Storefront and catalog
  • Checkout workflow
  • Order lifecycle and fulfillment
  • Payment method configuration
  • POS and kiosk operations

Niftipay manages

  • Payment processing
  • Card and crypto transactions
  • Settlement and payouts
  • Transaction history
  • Risk monitoring

Manual and offline payment methods

Manual methods are available for merchants who collect payment outside of the automated Niftipay flow. These require merchant-side reconciliation.

Cash on delivery

Customers place orders online and pay in person. Staff manually collect payment and manage fulfillment.

PayPal

Operates as an external, semi-manual payment method. Merchants may need to manually reconcile PayPal payments before marking orders as paid.

Bank transfer

Customers receive bank transfer instructions at checkout. Merchants manually verify payment receipt before proceeding with fulfillment.
